Listen: Kitty Covers Sky Ferreira’s ‘Everything Is Embarrassing’

(Pryde) got her mic back, apparently. First order of the day? A cover of Sky Ferreira’s 2012 smash-bloghit ‘Everything is Embarrassing’.

The impromptu cover isn’t what you’d expect from Kitty. Rapping’s gone runaway. She even replicates the Dev Hynes slap-bass of the original, so it’s more of an ode than a reinterpretation.

Pryde’s distinguishable vocals turn towards a singing stance, prone to the odd shake but pushing through to create a stirring, pretty damn impressive cover of Ferreira.
