Listen: Liu Bei Stream Debut Single, ‘Infatuation’
Listen to a grand, epic introduction from Transgressive/paradYse’s latest signing.

All that’s missing from London trio Liu Bei’s debut ‘Infatuation’ track is a crashing string section and a wild, drum-filled crescendo. Their grand, epic introduction isn’t short on confidence, and it sees the newcomers dressing up what’s essentially a power ballad in the emperor’s new clothes.
According to a press release, the trio is led by a guy called Richard who has a ‘successful’ background in penning scores for adverts. His attention’s since turned to being in a band full-time, giving atmospheric rock his utmost attention. The band are signed to paradYse / Transgressive for a debut single, and ‘Infatuation’ is a dramatic first work, capable of triumphantly closing a full-length if the situation ever came about. It’s nothing short of spectacular.
‘Infatuation’ / ‘Atlas World’ is out 7th July - pre-order here. Liu Bei play Servant Jazz Quarters in London on 10th July.
