Listen: Lowell Previews Debut EP With ‘88’
Arts and Crafts release Lowell’s debut EP, featuring this fizzing new track.

Levels of obsession with St. Vincent might have taken over. There’s a good chance that ‘Digital Witness’ and ‘Prince Johnny’ are so firmly lodged in the conscience that anything sounding remotely like said songs bears a direct comparison. But Lowell’s new track ‘88’ is a seriously exciting thing in its own right, also sporting the same bustling guitars and fizzing synths that make Annie Clark’s latest material so exciting.
‘88’ is taken from a new EP ‘I Killed Sara V’, which comes out via Arts and Crafts on 24th February. Prior to this, Lowell’s material was more brooding, albeit similarly crammed full of character. This is a serious step up, though; a razor-sharp pop attack that takes no prisoners.
Lowell, ‘88’:
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
