storming 2013 breakthrough hit ‘Pumpin’ Blood’ was destined for big things, including endlessly repetitive television adverts, which is exactly where it wound up. Somehow, unlike Peter Bjorn & John’s cheerpocalypse that accompanies almost every sofa ad going, ‘Pumpin’ Blood’ didn’t grow old. So we’d expect this new single to be similarly brilliant and never sickening.

‘Hungry Eyes’ is the latest take from Stina Wappling and co’s debut album, set to arrive later this year. Chimy and quintessentially Scandi, it’s glossy pop aiming for arenas, thus resulting in a sickeningly immediate track that never deserves to leave the conscience.
