Listen: Oliver Wilde Announces New Album, ‘Red Tide Opal In The Loose End Womb’
Howling Owl release the Bristolian’s second album in the space of 12 months. Listen to ‘On This Morning’.
Bristolian Oliver Wilde had a perhaps surprising 2013, with his debut album ‘A Brief Introduction To Unnatural Lightyears’ taking on a life of its own, lifting out from lovely Bristol and ending up in the hands of many willing declare it one of the most unsung triumphs of the past 12 months.
Oliver’s striking while the iron’s hot. He’s announced a second record in the space of a year. ‘Red Tide Opal In The Loose End Womb’ is out 5th May through Howling Owl Records, and it’s headed up by a new song ‘On This Morning’, which gets by on the songwriter’s staple, loop-heavy wooziness.
The track’s defined by plucked strings trying to stand out in a sea of cacophony. It’s a crazed battle of a song, albeit one delivered with absolute beauty.
Pre-order the new album via Howling Owl.
