Listen: Sam Smith Streams ‘Nirvana’ Single
It’s going to be a very, very big release from the Disclosure collaborator.

‘Nirvana’, the new single from UK songwriter Sam Smith, doesn’t shirk on giving hints as to just how big it could go.
A fiery tandem of Jai Paul-style guitar licks, marching band horn sections and Smith’s own, multi-layered vocals; it’s a slow-seeping ballad with an absolutely gigantic chorus. Think X Factor final single, without the predicted gospel choirs.
Smith knows how to tow the line between colossally big and very, very clever. Case in point #1: ‘Latch’. Case in point #2: Naughty Boy’s ‘La La La’. ‘Nirvana’ could potentially be Smith’s first #1 single of his own making.
