Listen: The National Unveil Cover Of Perfume Genius’ ‘Learning’
Two miserable minds meet in a perfect cover, taken from the ‘I Need My Girl’ single.
As part of their new single - ‘I Need My Girl’, taken from 2013’s ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ - The National are doing the rare duty of performing a new cover. The track in question is ‘Learning’ by Perfume Genius. It’s a bit like a perfect match in Blind Date, this paring, with misery running the show in a sweet, cathedral-suited meeting of minds.
The cover’s streaming below. Perfume Genius is expected to release a new album later this year, while The National’s Bryce Dessner is busying himself with a classical release.
