Listen to Hinds in session for Huw Stephens for Radio 1
Maida Vale session saw the Madrid group performing three tracks.
On last night’s Huw Stephens Radio 1 show, he aired a new Maida Vale session with Madrid four-piece Hinds (formerly known as Deers until a recent law kerfuffle).
Midway through a European run (which includes two London dates this month), all four took to the traditional routine of harsh, ragged rock’n’roll and in-between-song shouting. They spoke about how they’re having the best time ever, how they were close friends before starting the band and the meaning behind songs like ‘Bamboo’.
They performed ‘Bamboo’, ‘Castigadas en el Granero’ and ‘Between Cans’, all tracks hailing from two 2014 singles. They’re about to get to work on a full-length, they told Huw.
Hinds play the following 2015 dates:
JANUARY
21 London, Boston Music Room
22 London, Electrowerkz
23 Brighton, The Joker
30 San Sebastian, Gazteszena
FEBRUARY
14 Bangkok, Grease
