New single!
Little Simz drops playful new single ‘Young’
It’s the artist’s third release from her forthcoming sixth album, ‘Lotus’.

Little Simz has dropped her playful new single, ‘Young’. The song is the third release ahead of her forthcoming sixth album, ‘Lotus’, due on 6th June via AWAL Recordings.
In the cheeky new cut, Simz takes on the voice of someone else: “I was able to tap into a character,” she says on the new track. “That was fun for me. It’s just a moment of light heartedness.”
‘Young’ follows Simz’ recent singles ‘Free’ and ‘Flood’, and sees her reunite with director Dave Meyers for the video, following their success on the visual for ‘Gorilla’.
The ‘Lotus’ title apparently represents renewal and growth for the rapper. The new record will see her collaborate with a star-studded list of fellow artists, including Moses Sumney, Moonchild Sanelly, Miraa May, Wretch 32, Cashh, Michael Kiwanuka, Yussef Dayes, Sampha, Lydia Kitto, Yukimi Nagano, and Obongjayar.
The Mercury Prize winning artist will celebrate her new release later this year with two major arena shows. Little Simz will play Manchester’s Co-Op Live on 16th October 16th and London’s The O2 on 17th October.
