Lxury airs video for Deptford Goth-featuring track, ‘Square I’
‘Square 1’ is featured on Lxury’s ‘Into the Everywhere’ EP.

London producer Lxury released his recent EP ‘Into the Everywhere’ on GrecoRoman last week, featuring a vocal contribution from Deptford Goth on the track ‘Square 1’. Today a video for the song has been shared, directed by Spanish visual artist Mau Morgo, who has previously worked with Oneohtrix Point Never and Cut Copy.
A note posted alongside the video says that the “video is a homage to the narrative we find in African funeral rituals, where the relationship between dead and alive is made through dance and not words.”
It features organic materials and a pair of hands that move and replicate with a background, constantly shifting colours. Lxury’s bright, stabbing beats possess the motion of the objects, with Deptford Goth acting as the perfect foil to repeat a refrain of “I’ve been loving you since square one”.
