Mac DeMarco Streams ‘Salad Days’ Album In Full

Gap-toothed charmer Mac DeMarco is streaming his new album ‘Salad Days’ in full ahead of its 31st March (UK) and 1st April (US) release on Captured Tracks.

The album contains previously unveiled tracks ‘Passing Out Pieces’ and ‘Brother’, plus a handful of songs showcased at the likes of Sundance Festival and during specially recorded sessions over the past few months.

It’s a record that balances Mac’s growing weariness with playing the role of entertainer, alongside a continued knack for penning simple, effective pop songs. It was recorded after Mac finished touring last album ‘2’.

In a forthcoming DIY interview, DeMarco explained: ‘I didn’t want to make an album complaining, going ‘Oh man, it’s so hard’. It’s really not. You just have to make better decisions and enjoy it. Because how many opportunities am I gonna have in my life to play the places I’m playing at?’

Listen in full to ‘Salad Day’s on NPR.
