Marmozets return to the road, announce UK tour!
The band - who released their debut album ‘The Weird and Wonderful’ in 2014 - set off on tour in August.
We’ve missed Marmozets dearly, readers. The West Yorkshire band released their debut album ‘The Weird and Wonderful’ three years ago, and now they’re making their very welcome return, to the stage at least.
The band are hitting the road next month for a UK headline tour, which’ll see them visiting Newcastle, Sheffield, Liverpool, Oxford, Brighton, London and Cardiff. Tickets are on sale now, and you can cop one here.
The tour dates are as follows.
AUGUST
17 Newcastle, Think Tank?
18 Sheffield, Plug
19 Liverpool, Arts Club
21 Oxford, O2 Academy
22 Brighton, The Haunt
23 London, The Borderline
24 Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach
26 Reading Festival (NME / BBC Radio 1 Stage)
27 Leeds Festival (NME / BBC Radio 1 Stage)
It also looks like the band are heading out on tour with a load of new material up their sleeves. Speaking in a press release, vocalist Becca Macintyre says: “The sound we have so far is incredible. It’s still very much Marmozets and when you listen to it, it sounds like we’ve all recorded it in the same room. That’s exactly how it should be. It transmits the energy that we have when we play live.”
