Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne says ‘Montage Of Heck’ doc is “90% bullshit”

Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne has criticised the recent Kurt Cobain documentary ‘Montage of Heck’, in a review of the Brett Morgen film for The Talk House.
Osborne was a friend and former schoolmate of Kurt Cobain, and introduced Nirvana to Dave Grohl, after Cobain and Krist Novoselic went through a number of different drummers in the early years of Nirvana.
Osborne begins his review by explaining that he “was there for the beginning and I was there for the end”, before estimating that “90% of Montage of Heck is bullshit. Total bullshit.” Osborne adds that “the one thing no one gets about [Kurt] Cobain — he was a master of jerking your chain.”
Osborne also criticises Courtney Love’s honesty as well as the testimonies filmed for the documentary, saying that “God only knows where it begins and ends.” “In the 20 years since Kurt’s death, the undisputed facts of some of their stories seem to change almost hourly. I remain unconvinced in regards to her testimony, and I don’t think I’m alone,” Osborne says.
