Metronomy and Robyn team up for ‘Hang Me Out to Dry’
Track is taken from Joe Mount’s new album ‘Summer 08’.

With a new album out this Friday (1st July, Metronomy have shared a new track titled ‘Hang Me Out to Dry’.
No, it’s not a quickfire response to Iceland’s brutally unforgiving defeat of England in the footy. It’s actually a collaboration with Swedish pop phenomenon Robyn, aka a team-up the world’s been waiting to happen.
The track appears on ‘Summer 08’, Joe Mount’s exercise in going back to the ‘good old days’ of shiny synths and drum machine beats.
It links up with ‘Old Skool’, ‘Back Together’ and ‘Night Owl’ in previewing the record.
Catch up with DIY’s Metronomy interview here, in which Joe talks about why he’s chosen not to tour ‘Summer 08’.
