Metronomy share brand new track ‘Lately’
Joseph Mount tries his hand at directing for the accompanying video too.
Following a massive set at All Points East on the weekend, Metronomy have dropped brand new track ‘Lately’.
Premiered last night on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, the track comes straight from their upcoming sixth album, set for an autumn release.
This is the first new material we’ve heard from them since the much loved ‘Summer 08’ album back in 2016 and it’s got us longing for more.
The official video has been directed by Joseph himself, with nods to the 80’s film ‘Honey I Shrunk The Kids’, we get to see Metonomy at their smallest, whilst sounding their largest.
Joseph has expressed how much he’s loved directing the video, stating that: “I have quite strong opinions on what music videos are for in 2019 and how they should be presented and this has been a chance for me to put my money where my mouth is!”
