Metz reveal new track ‘Spit You Out’
The new cut follows ‘Acetate’ in previewing ‘II’.
Metz have unveiled the second track to be taken from their new album ‘II’ in the form of ‘Spit You Out’.
The track, which follows ‘Acetate’ in previewing the band’s second full-length, is a characteristically chaotic track, with Alex Edkins’ growl even more venomous than before.
‘II’ is arriving via Sub Pop on 4th May, and are set to return to London to play a headline show at The Underworld on June, following a riotous show at the 100 Club last month. Read the DIY review of that show here.
Metz recently spoke to DIY about ‘II’, saying: “It’s sort of a relationship album, but it’s not a romantic relationship thing. Maybe the ending of a friendship, people’s relationships with society at large and their interactions with media.”
Metz play London’s Underworld on 16th June. Stream ‘Spit You Out’ via The FADER.
