Michael Kiwanuka shares new video for 'Floating Parade'

Fresh from a hefty run of festival performances so far this summer, Michael Kiwanuka has now shared the new video for his recent track, ‘Floating Parade’.

The 2020 Mercury Prize winner shared his latest offering - a track “loosely written about utilising your senses to find an escape, particularly in oppressive circumstances, whether spiritually or physically” - earlier this summer following his brilliant set at Glastonbury, and has now revealed its accompanying visuals. It marks his first new music since the release of his third album ‘KIWANUKA’ back in 2019 and saw him return to work with production team Danger Mouse and Inflo, who produced his previous album, 2016’s ‘Love & Hate’.

Directed by New Orleans-based director Phillip Youmans, his new clip echoes the ethereal, otherworldly nature of the song’s melody with its plotline. Watch the stunning video below.

The video lands ahead of Michael’s upcoming joint headline tour with Brittany Howard in North America, where he’ll also be playing a handful of headline shows. Check out the dates below the player.
