Momma confirm new album ‘Welcome To My Blue Sky’
The Brooklyn upstarts have celebrated the news by sharing a storming new single, too.

NYC outfit Momma have announced that they’ll be releasing their third album ‘Welcome To My Blue Sky’ on 4th April via Lucky Number, having made a mighty return at the end of last year with preview single ‘Ohio All The Time’.
Acting as a follow up to 2022 effort ‘Household Name’, this new LP finds the band, as vocalist/guitarist Allegra Weingarten has said, “less concerned with sounding cool and heavy and rock & roll and much more focused on good, clean songwriting that hopefully inspires people to sing along and mean every word.”
Inspired by a period of transformative turbulence, ‘Welcome To My Blue Sky’ has now been further teased by the arrival of new cut ‘I Want You (Fever)’ - an immediate, ’90s flecked number that explores the frustration of falling for emotionally (or literally) unavailable people.
“It’s [about] pining after someone,” the band have explained, “but there’s also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you. The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era - we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.”
You can check out ‘I Want You (Fever)’ for yourself and revisit DIY’s 2022 interview with Momma below.
