Morrissey’s in a miff with management after US tour cancellation
He’s also ranked his favourite audiences of the year.
Morrissey has just cancelled all his remaining US tour dates, and he’s blaming his management for it.
Moz wrote on the fansite True To You: “There was apparently not even enough money to transport the touring party to the next scheduled city, and 360 Management faded out as quickly as they had faded in.” He said that he didn’t expect any more chances in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, saying that they were “nights destroyed by the ephemeral damagers … who do their worst … and slip away.” Ouch.
But he didn’t stop there! Moz also went on to rank his top 15 favourite audiences of the year, saying that these “were most appreciated by me.” Philadephia topped the list, followed by Brooklyn, Hong Kong, Adelaide and Melbourne. Apparently his hometown audience in Manchester were only his eighth best fans this year. Seems a bit harsh…
In slightly better Moz news, it was recently revealed that a new 7” by The Smiths is being released, which will feature new versions of ‘The Boy With The Thorn In His Side’ and ‘Rubber Ring.’ Silver linings, eh?
