Mura Masa links up with A$AP Rocky for 'Love$ick'

All signs have been pointing towards Mura Masa zooming towards the dance banger central big leagues, and in his latest track he makes good on all that kinetic potential. Teaming up with A$AP Rocky (casual) for a reworking of ‘Lovesick’ (from his 2015 EP ‘Someday Somewhere’) everything is beefed up to the maximum setting. There are airhorns galore, too, with A$AP bringing an added bite (and extra dollar signs) to the table, too.

With ‘Love$ick’ comes the news that Alex Crossan is finishing off his debut album as we speak. It’s slated for released in early 2017. Read our interview with the producer here.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mura Masa had this to say: “‘Lovesick’ has always been a favourite of mine, and Rocky is somebody who I’ve loved from the minute I heard his first mixtape, so the pairing of those two things is super exciting for me. London is like a second home to him too, so it’s a privilege for me to be able to bring him closer to the UK music scene. I love what he did with the track, it brings totally new life and light to the song without losing its original theme of lovelorn frustration.”
