Fool's gold
Nadine Shah previews new LP with ‘Fool’
Dagger-sharp cut backs up Shah’s forthcoming ‘Fast Food’ album.
This April, Nadine Shah returns with her second album, ‘Fast Food’. The follow-up to ‘Love Your Dum & Mad’ is out on the 13th, via Apollo / R&S Records.
It’s being led by ‘Fool’, a razor-like reminder of Shah’s sinister side. “You my sweet are plain and week,” she sings, on one of the most commanding choruses she’s ever put her name to, nothing but solitary-note guitar lines (by way of Interpol) to back up her claims.
New album ‘Fast Food’ was produced by Ben Hillier at his South London studio The Pool. It’s set to feature guest contributions from Nick Webb (guitar) and I Am Kloot’s Pete Jobson (bass).
