New ‘Montage of Heck’ trailer features early Nirvana performance to a crowd of two people
There’s also footage of an interview with bassist Krist Novoselic.
A new clip for ‘Montage of Heck’ - the forthcoming Kurt Cobain documentary - has been shared, featuring an early Nirvana performance and a brief interview recording with bassist and co-founder Krist Novoselic.
The performance footage shows Cobain and Novoselic playing at a house show in front of two people, with Novoselic discussing his first meetings with Kurt Cobain. “He’d always have to do some kind of art—usually defacing something,” Novoselic says. “He never had, like, idle hands. It just came out of him; he had to express himself.”
Elsewhere, director Brett Morgen has confirmed that an interview with Dave Grohl will not feature as part of a DVD extra in the future.
‘Montage of Heck’ is available in UK theatres now. HBO will show the documentary in North America on May 4. Watch the new clip below, courtesy of The New York Times. Read DIY’s review here.
