Lena Dunham’s HBO series to preview unheard material.
Lena Dunham’s HBO series ‘Girls’ is set to feature new material from Grimes and St. Vincent in two episodes of the current season. As reported by Billboard, Grimes’ new track is called ‘Entropy’, while Annie Clark has contributed a track called ‘Teenage Talk’.
Grimes’ track will be another song which could feature on her new album, the follow up to her breakthrough record ‘Visions’ which was released in 2012. Grimes collaborated with Jack Antonoff of fun. and Bleachers, after Claire Boucher provided work on ‘Take Me Away’, featured on Bleachers’ album ’Strange Desire’. Her track will feature in a party scene of an episode, while St. Vincent’s ’Teenage Talk’ will close another.
The news comes from the show’s music supervisor Manish Raval, who spoke to Billboard about the new series. “I said to St. Vincent’s people, ‘We love Annie and she and Lena are friends. Is there anything laying around?’ They sent us a demo of a song called ‘Teenage Talk’ that she hadn’t released yet and it was amazing. Lena flipped for it,’” he said.
