Nick McCarthy’s Box Codax Reveals New Album
It’s titled ‘Hellabuster’, and will be released in May.

Franz Ferdinand aren’t guitarist Nick McCarthy’s only band, no - there’s his side-project Box Codax too.
The Glaswegian trio - McCarthy alongside Manuela Gernedel and Alexander Ragnew - have just announced details of a new album, their second, and the follow up to 2006’s ‘Only An Orchard Away’.
It’s titled ‘Hellabuster’, and will be released on Germany’s Gomma records on 9th May.
The long-player has been part-produced by Metronomy’s Joseph Mount, and it has a bit of a concept going on as it’s about ‘the young years of the peculiar and private life of a boy named Hellabuster.’
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Hellabuster
2. Seven Silvers
3. Radical Plains
4. Choco Pudding
5. Pour Moi
6. I Won’t Come Back
7. Charade
8. Nothing More Than Anything
9. Sandy Moffat
10. Inanimate Inamorato
11. My Room
12. No Trains
13. Dawning
Festival special! Featuring Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Lykke Li, Marmozets, Genesis Owusu and more.
