Night Beds unveils new single ‘Me, Liquor & God’
Winston Yellen drifts away from folk beginnings on latest track.
Winston Yellen’s distinctive, soft vocals sound exactly the same, but something’s switched on the new Night Beds track, ‘Me, Liquor & God’.
Previewing a forthcoming new album, it represents a huge sonic shift from ‘Country Sleep’, which opted more towards timeless folk tracks. This latest cut is way more electronically-led, coming off like Hemsworth-inspired bedroom pop with all the synths tweaks left in for good measure. “I keep dreaming about you all the damn time,” sings Yellen, and he couldn’t sound any higher up in the clouds.
‘Me, Liquor & God’ is streaming below.
