Go behind-the-scenes with No Devotion on the set of their ‘Permanent Sunlight’ music video

Ahead of their ‘Permanent Sunlight’ video, frontman Geoff Rickly delves into their aspirations for the new single’s visual element.

No Devotion’s debut album, ‘Permanence’, is a soaring record of rebirth, crafted with a keen attention to both honouring the myriad of influences behind it and pushing then forward, scooping up all manner of musicality and dispersing it with a sense of creative abandon.

Their new single ‘Permanent Sunlight’ is the perfect reflection of that endeavour, and with that in mind, the band kept a typically keen eye on the visual aspect. Below, DIY have the first look at the band’s ‘Permanent Sunlight’ video, via a behind-the-scenes clip, narrated by frontman Geoff Rickly. In it, he takes us through the influences behind the clip. Everything from 80’s artistry to a smoke-machine-obsessed tour driver, apparently.

Check out the behind-the-scenes video below, and stick tight to DIY tomorrow for the premiere of the final video for ‘Permanent Sunlight’.
