No Devotion bask in sound and shape in their ‘Permanent Sunlight’ video

The modernised new-wave specialists plumb their artistic wells for the striking new clip, premiering on DIY.

There’s a glorious technicolour to No Devotion’s ‘Permanent Sunlight’. Packed with sky-scraping synths and harnessing a limitless scope, it’s a life-affirming declaration of new-wave pop and one that’s perfectly epitomised by the group’s new video for the single, premiering below on DIY.

Yesterday we teased you with a behind-the-scenes video for the clip, in which frontman Geoff Rickly spoke of their visual influences and their desire to craft “something that matched the energy of the song, that matched the brightness of the song.” As all manner of art-deco projections pair up with their silhouetted performance, it’s a striking mission accomplished.

‘Permanent Sunlight’ is the latest single to be taken from No Devotion’s debut album ‘Permanence’, which is out now on Collect Records.
