Oliver Wilde’s excellent new EP is streaming in full

‘Long Hold Star An Infinite Abduction’ is out tomorrow.

Bristol musician Oliver Wilde made a welcome return last month, his ether-doused psych going several steps further with ‘Bifida’ and ‘Blit Scratch’.

Turns out, both of these songs appear on a new EP titled ‘Long Hold Star An Infinite Abduction’, a brand new EP out 6th May on Howling Owl Records.

It’s a mouthful of a title, and indeed there’s a lot to take in across these eight tracks (eight tracks? An EP?! Let’s ignore definitions for the time being). Opener ‘Echolalia’ wrestles with giants, while ‘Look After Your Machine’ merges eerie plucked patterns with deranged synths.

‘Blit Scratch’ remains a game changer, the fullest realisation of Wilde’s oddball tendencies. And the whole, wonderful thing is streaming in full below.
