Perfume Genius airs morphsuit-centric video for ‘Grid’
Mike Hadreas’ stunning new video accompanies forthcoming album ‘Too Bright’.
Everything visual that’s been unveiled so far around Perfume Genius’ ‘Too Bright’ record is nothing short of stunning. First came the gender-defying press shots, then the ecstatic video for ‘Queen’. Now Mike Hadreas stars in ‘Grid’, a new track to be taken off his forthcoming third record.
This latest clip sees Hadreas surrounded by a crew of morphsuits, who pinch, pull and mutate at the star, turning him into a bloodied and battered mess. He seems in control of the situation somehow, with the sequence concluding in blood-stained smiles and alien imagery, complete with fin foil rooms and black eyes.
