Pip Blom teams up with Personal Trainer on latest track ‘Kiss Me By The Candlelight’
It’s the most recent cut from their forthcoming new album, ‘Bobbie’.
Pip Blom have shared a new single, ‘Kiss Me By The Candlelight’, featuring Willem Smit - Pip’s partner and vocalist of fellow Dutch band Personal Trainer. It’s the latest single to be taken from their upcoming third album ‘Bobbie’, which is due for release on 20th October via Heavenly Recordings.
‘Kiss Me By The Candlelight’ is a lo-fi disco-influenced number, featuring dual harmonies and bouncy beats made for dancefloors. Discussing the track’s origins, Pip says: “Long before Willem and I started seeing each other we had written a song together. We were 16 and barely knew one another. Over the years we’ve been writing stuff on and off. It wasn’t always easy because we both have very different ways of working and aren’t really used to writing with someone else, but we’ve managed to write some of my favourite songs together. ‘Kiss Me By The Candlelight’ was a perfect fit for the album. It’s danceable, a bit quirky, and a perfect blend of the two of us.”
