Slovakia’s Pohoda Festival confirm Fontaines DC for 2025 lineup
The announcement comes after this year’s edition was sadly cut short due to thunderstorm damage.

Pohoda Festival has announced that former DIY cover stars Fontaines DC will play its 2025 edition, making the Dublin band the first big international name to be unveiled.
The Slovakian weekender has returned more determined than ever, after this Summer’s festival unfortunately had to be cancelled mid-way through its three day run due to damage to the site caused by a severe storm.
Due to take place at its usual location of Trenčín airport on 10th-12th July, next year will mark the festival’s 29th birthday - and, judging by this initial booking, it’s shaping up to be one to remember. “I’m thrilled that Fontaines D.C. is our first confirmed act for Pohoda 2025,” Festival Director Michal Kaščák has commented. “Pohoda has always paid attention to the current powerful names; and Fontaines D.C. have rapidly ascended to the top of the music scene. It’s an honour that they’ve chosen Pohoda among so many offers for the second weekend in July.”
More international artists are due to be confirmed later this week, so watch this space! In the meantime, you can find out more about Pohoda 2025 and nab tickets here, and revisit our July/August 2024 cover interview with Fontaines DC below.
