Power chords, leather jackets and nuclear shelters are the order of the day for Ex Hex’s ‘Tough Enough’

It’s the latest track from forthcoming second LP ‘It’s Real’.

Washington, DC trio Ex Hex - fronted by former Wild Flag member Mary Timony - have shared new track ‘Tough Enough’ and its accompanying, tongue-in-cheek apocalyptic video.

Proving that rock’n’roll WILL actually save us after all, the video finds the band playing in a suitably grainy, scuzzy room before having to flee a massive explosion and tough it out in an underground bunker by bench-pressing guitars. Obvs.

Of the track, the band say: “‘Tough Enough’ is all about three-dimensional power chords interplaying with whammy dive bombs. It’s a song about turning on your tough switch and forging ahead through whatever storms are happening around you ’cause you have no choice.”

‘It’s Real’ is set for release on 22nd March, while you can catch the band live in May during a run of UK tour dates.
