Premiere: Listen: Beginners Unveil ‘Let Go Or Get Dragged’ Track

LA-based duo BEGINNERS are hot on the heels of MØ’s recent ascent to stardom with a similarly heart-stopping routine of placing snapping beats and short-fused abrasiveness into clear-headed pop.

The duo of Samantha Barbera and Nick Ruth release their debut, self-titled EP on March 24th, and we’re delighted to be bringing you a new cut, ‘Let Go or Get Dragged’. It’s a fitting title considering the tide that backs up a track like this. Talk about an unstoppable force.

Samantha’s and Nick’s respective, wildly different pasts (Samantha fronted hardcore punk band Holy Fever while Nick produced the likes of Mikky Ekko) interlock in cutting fashion here. Backed by Jason Walker on drums, there’s the breakneck force of a punk band, here, but it’s been backed by shiny, glitzy synths.
