Esteemed cultural ambassadors of Russia’s Yekaterinburg preview their ‘Fly By Wire’ album.

Premiere: Listen: Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin Share ‘Cover All Sides’

It had to happen eventually: Before passing, Boris Yeltsin, first President of the Russian Federation, found out about a band entirely devoted to his standing. Some years later, this led to Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin - a band who once vowed they’d break up if the subject of their longings found out about them - being extended an invite to Yekaterinburg, Russia.

This involved the trio being named cultural ambassadors for the day and performing at an elementary school in the small Russian town. They were living the dream, sort of.

The ridiculous experience doesn’t exactly rinse itself all over material on the band’s new ‘Fly By Wire’ album, but it’s a charming story to consider when listening to the gorgeous, drifting new track ‘Cover All Sides’.

SSLYBY’s ‘Cover All Sides’ is premiering on DIY below. Pre-order the ‘Fly By Wire’ album - released on Polyvinyl on 16th September (North America, 17th).
