Premiere: Watch: Happy Diving Share ‘Never Been’ Video
San Francisco’s sunny guitar lines get transported to a grimy, basement setting in this new video.

San Franciscans Happy Diving make music that’s appropriate for low-light, basement-dwelling situations, which is exactly where they find themselves in their new video for ‘Never Been’. Sort of anyway, it’s a bit hard to tell.
Breathing life into the grunge-meets-pop saga, the track combines whimsical whoa’s with sunny guitar lines that have seemingly tripped into a dirty puddle (those confused at this point should just accept that this means it’s excellent). The whole song is charmingly sloppy in delivery, and fans of dream pop that’s a bit heavier and ever so slightly slapdash in execution should press play on the below immediately.
Happy Diving’s self-titled EP is out through Father/Daughter on 18th February.
