Premiere: Watch: MOVIE Unveil New ‘Ads’ Video
London trio get nude and football-friendly in their phallic reference-filled debut video.

MOVIE
have some serious guts. A London trio fresh out of the oven, in their debut ‘Ads’ video they have everything covered. There’s enough phallic symbols to make Freud permanently blind, flowers to put the local Tesco out of business and mysterious white powder capable of colouring the famous hills of Columbia.
Then there’s the nudity. Backing the band’s breakneck, jaunty sound - immediate to the bone, fizzing and fast from the off - there’s some bare chests and cheeky other bits to display. Talk about an introduction. These guys don’t lack confidence. Theo Spark (vocals/guitar), Jamie Stiby Harris (vocals/keys/guitar) and Ollie Tobin (bass) even star in their very own version of Sky Sports’ football intros. Jimmy Bullard eat your heart out.
‘We filmed it in a little alcove in our shared flat under the light of an old OHP, not for any particular artistic reason but just because they were the only available resources we had,’ explain the band. ‘We wanted to make it cool (who doesn’t?) as well as lighthearted. One of our girlfriends shot and edited it and we all pooled in thematic ideas together for a pot pourri finale.’
MOVIE’s debut single ‘Ads’ is out 9th June on Skelly Records. Pre-order on iTunes. The band launch their single at London’s Old Blue Last on 4th June.
