Premiere: Watch: Salt Cathedral Unveil ‘Fields’ Video
Brooklyn group lure in waffles and the great outdoors for their new video, premiering on DIY.

Which would you prefer? A plate of waffles or the great outdoors? A proud man with plenty of riches discovers both in this Salt Cathedral ‘Fields’ video, premiering on DIY.
The Brooklyn band’s progressive, scatterbrained style is a bright, visual beast. It opens up all corners of the world. It sends conventional ideas skywards through semi-deranged, perfectly executed songwriting. It exposes you to something new.
Which is exactly what happens here (unless we’ve completely misunderstood the video’s plot). A jolly fellow with his plate of waffles has a group of explorers stumble into his house. They use storyboards to show him wonderful things like the ocean and fishes, and they ignore all the crappy stuff like mosquitos and hay that tickles your feet.
So our protagonist heads outside under Salt Cathedral’s guidance. First he wanders out in a protective suit, but he soon discovers the beauty of the great outdoors via - hence the title - a field. How pleasant.
