Premiere: Watch: SOHN Unveils ‘Lights’ 4AD Session

explosive ‘Tremors’ debut (out today) is in part defined by its straight-down-the-line songwriting, but it’s also noted for its sheer attention to detail. Tiny sonic snippets - a barely-there bass wobble, a sudden jolt of percussion - are what makes this record what it is, and it’s why SOHN’s on the cover of the new DIY Weekly.

To see all this detail fleshed out into a live experience is even more thrilling, as documented in a recent series of sessions commissioned by label 4AD and based out near SOHN’s Vienna studio. Four performances see ‘Toph’ joined by Albin Janoska (synths) and Stefan Fallmann (bass) in a strobe-lit studio, with all the sessions being directed by filmmaker Andreas Waldschuetz.

We’re delighted to bring you the last in the series, with ‘Lights’ following on from ‘Artifice’, ‘The Wheel’ and ‘Bloodflows’.
