They're so fancy

The synth trio like playing covers, don’t you know?

If there’s one thing you know about Prides, besides, say, them being Scotland’s next great white hope in the field of ‘making noises with electronic devices’ or thereabouts, then it’s that they like playing covers. Or at least, they’ve done a bloody load of it.

So, if it’s not Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’, it’s ’Roar’ by Katy Perry, or even Lorde’s ’Royals’. And to cap off a pretty good 2014 for the trio, they’ve compiled a few more of their pop favourites and thrown them together in a nine-minute video that looks effortless as vocalist Stewart Brock hops between keyboard and piano.

Covers on the ‘live mixtape’ include Taylor Swift’s ‘Out of the Woods’, ‘Fancy’ by Iggy and Charli, and Ryn Weaver’s ‘Octahate’. See the lot below.
