Prides unveil new track ‘Higher Love’

The trio follow on from their huge-sounding hit ‘Messiah’ with the new single this March.

After getting things off to quite the start in 2014, Prides have returned with their first musical offering of the new year.

The trio, who are gearing up to head out on the road shortly, debuted new track ‘Higher Love’ this evening on BBC Radio 1, before unveiling the new track’s accompanying lyric video.

Following on from ‘Messiah’ and their ‘The Seeds You Sow’ EP from last year, the Glaswegian three-piece are once again pairing up soaring pop melodies with massive choruses for their newest cut.

“‘Higher Love’ is a turning point track for us,” the band’s Stewart Brock has said of the song. “It was one of the first tracks we wrote after being out playing shows, and that definitely inspired some of our choices. We loved that people had started to sing along to songs like ‘Out of the Blue’ and ‘Messiah’, and we wanted a song that people could really engage with.”

‘Higher Love’ is due for release on 23rd March, with their debut album set to arrive later this year.
