Canadian indie rock outfit PUP announce fifth album ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’

Toronto punk-rockers PUP will share their fifth studio album this Spring, on 2nd May via Little Dipper / Rise Records. Entitled ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’, it’s been introduced with new single ‘Hallways’, which comes accompanied by a staggeringly bizarre music video (check that out below).

Frontman Stefan Babcock has acknowledged how the process of creating this album felt more productive than usual – he used to spend three years writing a dozen songs, yet managed to complete over 30 songs for ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’ within a fraction of that time. “In the past, I’d find comfort in another person, but this time I was at it alone” he shares, recalling his self-isolation after the ending of a longterm relationship. “Being bored and lonely I just started writing music nonstop.”

Babcock is most familiar with using his music as an emotional outlet, though this record documents his reflection in a different way – according to press materials, it exhibits the singer finally “coming to peace with who I am.”

What’s more, PUP will play a handful of UK shows later this year; catch them on the following dates.
