PUP return with new single ‘How to Live with Yourself’
They have also shared a second unreleased song ‘Smoke Screen’.
Fresh off a busy 2022, Toronto’s PUP have returned already with brand new material. Their new single is named ‘How to Live with Yourself’, and it is out now.
Released alongside that song is a second previously unreleased track, ‘Smoke Screen’.
Speaking about ‘How to Live with Yourself’, vocalist Stefan Babcock has said, ““This was the first song we wrote when we started working on our last album. The first one is always the hardest, you tend to overthink everything, so we wanted to start with something simple and fun, something that we wouldn’t get too in our own heads about. This one feels like a classic PUP song to me, and while our goal for the record was to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and try new things, sometimes it feels good to write a catchy, miserable ripper that feels like it captures exactly what this band is about.”
PUP released their fourth studio album ‘The Unraveling of PUPTheBand’ in April last year, which was followed up by the ‘PUP Unravels Live in Front of Everyone They Know’ EP later in 2022.
The band are playing a range of European festivals this summer, including Primavera in Barcelona, Madrid and Porto, Download and Rock Werchter.
