Purity Ring debut Empress Of, Born Gold remixes of ‘bodyache’
Group are playing a huge London Roundhouse show, too.
Canadian duo Purity Ring have shared two polar-opposite remixes of their latest single, ‘bodyache’.
Taken from their second LP ‘another eternity’ (out now on 4AD), ‘bodyache’’s stop-start, sweet original has been flipped in new directions by Empress Of and Born Gold.
The former - Lorely Rodriguez, who previewed her debut album with ‘Water Water’ yesterday - gives a more percussive edit, adding synth twists to an already glossy track.
Born Gold meanwhile turns the track into a ridiculous fast-paced, barely-tangible dream, a breakneck speed defining every move.
DIY is excited to be premiering both remixes - listen below.
These new edits arrive alongside the announcement of Purity Ring’s biggest ever UK show. The duo play London Roundhouse on Thursday 29th October. General sale tickets are available here.
