PWR BTTM launch crowdfunding campaign to help recover gear lost in van theft

On 9th November, New York punk duo PWR BTTM had their van and all their gear stolen in San Francisco, right in the middle of a massive world tour.

They tweeted about the incident, checked impound lots and filed a report with the city’s police department. Unfortunately, they have come to the sad conclusion that both their van and gear are lost forever. Luckily, their insurance has covered the cost of their vehicle and they’ve managed to borrow some equipment from some really kind strangers.

The pair have started a crowdfunding campaign to help them to afford new gear. At the time of writing, they’ve raised just over a whopping $11,500 of their $16,000 target, but need more people to donate or just to help spread the word.

They say: “We hate that we have to ask for money in a time when so many are in need, but the unfortunate reality is that we do.” For any support, they will thank you from “the bttm of our gay little hearts.”

Check out their funding campaign here.
