Queens of The Stone Age & Faith No More for Rock In Rio 2015
Billed as the world’s biggest music festival, the event will also play host to Slipknot and.. Katy Perry?!
The first handful of acts have been confirmed for this year’s Rock In Rio festival. Queens of the Stone Age and Faith No More are leading the charge, with the first eight artists now announced for the seven-day event.
Elsewhere on the line-up for the self-confessed world’s biggest music festival, you’ll find the likes of Slipknot and System of a Down rubbing shoulders with the newly-reunited a-ha - who, according to Consequence of Sound, are “reuniting specifically for the festival”- and Katy Perry, who have all been confirmed for the Main Stage.
Completing the first announcement of acts due to appear are John Legend and Hollywood Vampires, the new outfit from Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry.
This year’s edition of the Brazilian fest will take place from 18th to 20th and then 24th to 27th September in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. For tickets, head to the festival’s website.
Organisers are also holding a US-based edition of the event this year, with the likes of Deftones, Metallica and Taylor Swift all set to perform at Rock In Rio USA. It takes place from 8th to 9th and 15th to 16th May in Las Vegas, NV.
