RAT BOY previews new mixtape with ‘STICK UP KIDS’ track

Rat Boy’s the first to claim that he sounds “like a shit Jamie T”, but there’s way more to his music than mere hasty homage. Exhibit A? Last year’s debut mixtape - a jagged, shameless bringing together of cheap beats and broken samples.

He’s following it up with another online release, ‘Neighbourhood Watch’. Lead track ’STICK UP KIDS’ is a blast of scummy noise, delivered with all the intent of someone on a hellbent killing spree. Zero pause or empty space, few bring bonkers out of pop quite like this Essex youth.

Circa Waves have invited Rat Boy on tour - they play the remaining dates (w/ Gengahr):
