Reading 2011: Fixers: “Odd Future’s Set Was Amazing”

The band tell us that it was a bit like when KISS took their masks off.”“

Speaking to DIY prior to their Reading Festival set on Saturday (27th August), Fixers revealed how much they enjoyed Odd Future earlier in the day.

‘We watched Odd Future. It was amazing,’ frontman Jack Goldstein told us. ‘You know when you wanna validate that someone’s real? Because you see them do stuff on the internet so often but then you see them in real life and you’re like ‘wow, that person’s an actual human being’. It felt a bit like that. We’ve wanted to see Odd Future for a long time but now they’ve blown up and got massive; it was really fun. It’s a bit like when KISS took their masks off.’

Fixers will play Leeds Festival today (Sunday 28th August) on the BBC Introducing Stage at 8.30pm. Check back for the full interview later in the week.
