Richard Hawley Unveils Singles Club, Release Plans
‘Leave Your Body Behind You’ will be available as a one-track digital download.

Richard Hawley has revealed plans to leave his body behind via his newly launched singles club. All sound a bit contrived? We’re not lying.
Hawley, about to release his sixth studio album, will put out new track ‘Leave Your Body Behind You’ via his new Richard Hawley Singles Club on 10’ vinyl, the first track to be taken from the forthcoming LP entitled ‘Standing At The Sky’s Edge’.
‘Leave Your Body Behind You’ will be available as a one-track digital download on April 2nd 2011, with the vinyl release being made available by the Singles Club exclusively in independent record stores for Record Store Day on April 21st.
Of the track, Hawley says, “So much damage has been done to this world by people who get all their knowledge from one book – be it The Bible or whatever.
“If we could just allow ourselves to be liberated by the fact that this is our only time here, we could just get on with what really matters. I really think we could have put a man on the moon 1,000 years ago if we accepted that.”
‘Standing At The Sky’s Edge’ was recorded at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studio in 2011 and will be released on 7th May 2012 via Parlophone.
Hawley will perform at London’s HMV Forum on 8th June with his full schedule looking as follows:
