Sorry what?
Right then, what’s going on with this Sam Smith “debut re-release”?
A release called ‘Sam Smith Diva Boy’ documents the star’s early days. It looks… interesting.
At some point in his quest for fame, Sam Smith went to Flipbook Music’s West London studios to become a star. And during this process, he no doubt signed the rights away to his early recordings, which until this point nobody had heard anything about.
And without a shadow of a doubt, he absolutely has nothing to do with an imminent new release called ‘Sam Smith Diva Boy’. But there’s literally nothing he can do about it coming out, because Flipbook Music has the rights, so here we are. This is it.
According to Flipbook Music, Sam was “in development and trained for success” way before the release of his multi-million selling 2014 debut ‘In The Lonely Hour’. The real debut, it seems, was ‘Sam Smith Diva Boy’.
Actually, to be precise: it’s called ‘Sam Smith Diva Boy, aka Where It All Began For Sam’.
Previewing the release is ‘Momentarily Mine’, a previously unreleased song that comes backed with a very interesting video showing Sam in audition-mode. It’s a long way from Disclosure’s ‘Latch’, we’ll be honest.
Somewhere out there, Sam Smith is ringing his lawyers. But the team behind this release are reassuring fans that he’ll absolutely love the below video. Amazing.
