Rock Werchter confirm The Cure as first 2026 headliner
The Belgian festival giant will return on 2nd-5th July next year.
Beligum’s Rock Werchter has revealed the first name on its 2026 lineup, and it’s none other than rock legends The Cure, who made their first appearance at the event’s Festivalpark all the way back in 1981.
Since then, the band - helmed by the inimitable Robert Smith - have performed at the festival several times, and will return once more in 2026 to celebrate the release of their long-awaited latest album, ‘Songs Of A Lost World’, in style.
Rock Werchter 2026 will take place from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th July in Werchter, Belgium, with The Cure headlining the weekend’s closing night. Tickets will go on sale at 10am local time on Friday 21st November; you can find out more and pre-register here.
More lineup details are set to be announced soon, so watch this space. In the meantime, you can revisit our review of 2025’s festival - which featured massive sets from the likes of Wet Leg, Green Day, and RAYE - below.
